How do I register to be a volunteer

We have made it really easy for you to just register online on the link below and our Volunteer Director will be in touch with you to work through your details and availability.

What do I wear?
You will be given a volunteer t shirt to wear during your rostered hours and these can be worn with tidy shorts, trousers, or skirts. All shoes must be closed in and a type or sneaker or sports shoe is best.
How will I know what days and times I will be on?

You will be sent a roster at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the tournament. You will need to check these to make sure you are still available and if not then just contact the volunteer director with as much notice as you can so changes can be made.

It is important to note that the exact timings of games are subject to change; however, a detailed roster will be confirmed one week in advance, and we will keep you informed of any changes.

How long are the sessions / shifts?

The shifts are 4-6 hours depending on the role you are in.

What if I am sick and can’t come to my roster shift?
You need to contact the volunteer director as soon as practical.
What if I want to support a team – Can I ask not to be on that shift?

Yes of course we want you to enjoy the tournament – so just indicate that you are not available on this session/day when you apply.

Do we get scheduled breaks and food provided?

We are committed to make sure that you have adequate breaks during your shift, and you will also receive a meal or snack voucher depending on the length of your shift. There is a café on site for you to purchase any other food or drink.

Health and safety
If you identify any risks eg trip hazards etc during your shifts please talk to your supervisor or the volunteer director.
Do I get to see the venues and learn more before I start my shift?
Yes, there will be a volunteer induction session prior to the start of the tournament and here you can ask any questions that you may have and also have a tour of the venue.

Expectations:

As you are a highly visible representative of the Tournament, we are relying on you to:

  • Be committed to performing your role to the best of your ability
  • Act in a professional, respectful, and friendly manner
  • Maintain a high level of personal presentation
  • Be open to taking on additional tasks, as requested by your supervisor
  • Comply with all the regulations that apply to the venue you are working in
